Exercise has a role in weight loss, just maybe not the one you think. Basically… All the exercise on the planet will not have you losing any weight if your diet is all wrong. Diet is the most important part. If you fix your diet and eat healthy (if you have been eating unhealthy) – you will lose some weight. But what will get you more intense results is coupling this eating healthy with a fitness regime. So if you were going to choose out of the 2 – you would go dieting – because exercise is useless without it. Heres an example You eat take away five nights a week – and run 10 kms a week – all you will be doing is burning off your take away food you ate (and you would not even burn it all off – only some of it). However if you stopped eating the take away food and ate healthy w/out any type of exercise you would start to not only lose the calories from the healthy food you were eating – but also the fat on your body. This is because the healthier food has less calories to burn as opposed to the take away food. Now add that running to the healthy eating & you would lose a whole heap more. Hpoe this was helpful

I'm 21 and my girlfriend is 20 and we both need to lose about the same amount of weight (35lbs) and we both would like to do it together and I was wondering if anyone knows of any good weight loss plans for couples that are free cause we really don't need to lose too much. If you could help us in any way such as advice or anything it would be appreciated thank you. What I found out was – It's most commendable that you want to work together to loose weight. That way you will each motivate the other. Modify your diet; read the Nutrition Facts labels; eliminate junk food. Go for walks, together. Start off with short walks such as just around the block, then extend by going around 2 or 3 blocks. Explore your neighborhood, on foot; reverse the direction of your walks for any variety. Consider bicycling. It has minimal impact on the body's joints; it increases your metabolism; and it extends your range of physical activity.

Hi, I'm a girl, I'm twelve, I'm 5 1' and I weigh 105. . Is there actually a recipe to help weight loss? Because I get tired of eating the same thing everyday, my school is nut free and I'm too young to workout at any gyms, It's hard for me to lose weight. My mom and my friend are dieting with me to keep me motivated. I have karate on Monday and Thursday, I have Piano on Wednesday, I have singing lessons on Friday and on Saturday and Sunday I have to practice this East Indian dance thing to present at this multi-culteral event. So basically, I'm busy, fat and I want to lose 25 to 30 pounds. PLEASE HELP. I think I found an answer. You do NOT need to lose weight. You would be so unhealthy and probably weak and sickly if you lost weight. Since it sounds like your mother is supporting you losing weight please talk to another adult that you can trust. A doctor, counselor at school, teacher, friends parent, someone, anyone. You are NOT fat. No one should go on a diet at your age unless they are obese.
